MaBinti was a driven young woman, eager to make something of herself, inspired by strong female characters from fiction and her own parents' example and she pursued multiple careers, from government consulting to running a production company. When she heard about the opportunity to improve access to mental health in the Muslim community, she jumped on it, despite the fear of the unknown. She put in countless hours of hard work, even going from work to school to shoot a documentary and back, and her efforts paid off. Ziefah Health was born, a business that aligned with all aspects of her life and fulfilled her ambition to make a real difference.

MaBinti Yillah is a serial entrepreneur. She is the founder and managing director of Ziefah Health, a telehealth company that matches Muslims with culturally responsive mental health care based on their preferences.

Prior to starting Ziefah, she spent over a decade providing strategic communications to private sector companies and public service/government programs including U.S. Department of Labor, U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Navy.

She designed communication strategies and policies for U.S. government programs helping them to find a consistent voice and vocabulary, so they could engage with stakeholders more deeply.

Beyond consulting work, MaBinti produced award-winning documentaries and web series through her media venture, Common Sense Entertainment.

A graduate of the University of Maryland, she received an MBA from American University in management consulting.
